Linssen 30.0 Grand Sturdy AC & Sedan

The Grand Sturdy 30.0 AC.

With the small 30.0 AC and Sedan, Linssen Yachts demonstrates that ‘space’ is a relative notion, and that sailing characteristics do not depend on dimensions. The 30.0 is a match for the larger yachts in the Grand Sturdy series. Everything that makes a Linssen a Linssen is present, but in this case on a yacht of 'just' 10 metres. The styling and the interior for the new 30.0 series have been created in collaboration with KesselsGranger DesignWorks.

Excellent sailing characteristics
The 30.0 AC and 30.0 Sedan are two stable and easily manoeuvrable yachts on which you can sail all inland waterways, rivers, canals and lakes of Europe. However, taking the roundabout route along sheltered coastal areas is also possible with these latest Grand Sturdy models.

4+2 sleeping berths
The AC version of the Grand Sturdy 30.0 has a fore and aft cabin with a double bed. Four people can sleep comfortably on board. The fore cabin has a toilet, a separate shower and various cupboards. The aft cabin has a spacious cupboard on the port side.

Steer outside (AC) or steer inside (Sedan)
On board the 30.0 AC, the helmsman’s position is on the upper deck in the open air. For extra protection, the folding roof can be closed from behind by means of a removable section. On board the 30.0 Sedan, the comfortable helmsman’s position is located on the starboard side in the saloon.

Saloon as an interior living area (AC, Sedan)
The saloon has a spacious layout and is the central interior area of both versions of the Grand Sturdy 30.0. There is a large bench on the starboard side and a galley with cupboards on the port side. On board the Sedan, the saloon and the open cockpit can be turned into one large space by opening the wide double doors.

Aft deck (AC)
What the open cockpit is for the 30.0 Sedan, is the aft deck for the 30.0 AC. The deck has comfortable benches and integrated deck boxes for storage. The bulwark includes a central stern door that provides access to the swimming platform with deck shower.

Light and space, these are the key concepts in the Intero style that we have developed in collaboration with design studio KesselsGranger DesignWorks. Some will call the new elements in the interior and exterior ‘sporty’, others perhaps ‘elegant’ or ‘contemporary’. We are curious to know what words will come to mind when you board the new Grand Sturdy 35.0 for the first time. What you will certainly notice are the
flowing lines. The curved three-part window section with its extra-large glass surface is a striking example of this. This is not only beautiful, it’s functional as well. The large surface area allows a maximum amount of daylight to enter, which contributes to a pleasant living
environment.

Compared to the interiors of previous models, the new interior is lighter and more contrasting. It starts with the floor with a warm, deep brown Wenge finish, laid in wide strips for optimum depth. Okoumé hardwood with a cherry finish has always been used as our interior finish. However, with Intero we have deliberately chosen a lighter cherry shade that contrasts beautifully with the leather upholstery of the furniture.

The Grand Sturdy 35.0 is an exceptionally universal boat with a large amount of flexible storage space. The extra length (10.70 m) compared with our Grand Sturdy 30.0 (9.70 m) has allowed us to add various functions to the interior. And let’s not forget the functions that are often taken for granted on a Linssen but should absolutely not be, when you compare it with other yachts on our market.

Linssen 40 Grand Sturdy

Like its smaller sisters, the Linssen Grand Sturdy 40.0 is available in an AC variant (with an aft cabin) and a Sedan variant (with an open, self-draining cockpit). The easily recognisable, slim profile is consistently carried through into the new, elegant designs.

The Linssen Grand Sturdy 40.0 is 12.85 × 4.30 m, making it a high-volume vessel with a full, wide forward compartment. The generously proportioned layout of the Linssen 40 ft segment is unprecedented.

You notice these generous proportions as soon as you enter the saloon. The saloon and kitchen are situated on the same level, with only one step between the saloon and the kitchen compartment, allowing the cook and the guests to enjoy life on board together. Practical, efficiently positioned drawers, cupboards, etc. make life on board very convenient.

The steps to the forward cabin can be folded up to allow access to a useful “cellar”. Very handy if you are a wine lover! Looking aft, the steps give access to the saloon.
The forward cabin has a double bed that you can get in and out of comfortably on both sides. Portholes and deck hatches allow lots of light and air to enter. There are large wardrobes and lots of shelving, and a useful drawer under the bed. The toilet can be accessed from the forward cabin and the central entrance area, so that your guests in the twin-bedded central cabin, can use it too. They can also access the separate shower from there.
The aft cabin is also extremely spacious, with a freestanding double bed, separate shower and separate toilet, as well as a large amount of cupboard, storage and drawer space.

Linssen 40 Sedan

In the Sedan version, the passage connecting the saloon to the cockpit is on one level, with only a low threshold. Running along the length of the superstructure, the Linssen Longtop covers the cockpit. This means you can stay comfortable and dry, or sheltered from bad weather, when sitting on the integrated bench seat in the cockpit, with the central stern door to the swimming platform.

Below the waterline: stable, comfortable and powerful
The hull shape and construction of the Grand Sturdy 500 AC Variotop® are the basis for the new Grand Sturdy 45.0 below the water line. This patented new hull shape, the Softchine Prestressed Hull (SPH®), ensures that when sailing, you will experience less resistance, less noise and use less fuel. In other words, the Grand Sturdy 45.0 has unprecedented levels of stability, low noise and easy handling. It has two powerful Volvo Penta diesel engines as a standard feature for stable propulsion.

The Grand Sturdy 45.0 Sedan is the only Sedan motoryacht from Linssen with this unique sliding door on the port side. From the helmsman’s position, you can easily get to the cleat to tie up quickly in a lock or marina, so that you can then position the boat at your leisure.

A great deal of space and light
The Grand Sturdy 45.0 Sedan has a spacious, comfortable and luxurious saloon with a great deal of living space for you and your travelling companions. The large windows in the saloon ensure pleasant contact with the exterior and let in lots of natural light. The starboard side houses a spacious galley with a comfortable folding table and two cocktail chairs. A pleasant place to have breakfast together. If there are more of you, there is a spacious u-shaped dinette on the port side.
The large electric e-Variodeck ensures an optimal interior climate under all conditions. Open the sliding roof slightly for a cooling breeze through the saloon, or open it completely to enjoy the sun.
The spacious forward cabin is your domain. It has a large and comfortable double bed and enough surrounding space to move, cupboards and storage areas for clothes and other possessions. With a separate toilet on the starboard side and a shower on the port side, you have all the privacy you could wish for.

There is a guest cabin amidships with two single beds. Guests can use their own toilet/shower in the passage on the starboard side.
The forward compartment also provides access to the large multifunctional ‘cellar’ storage space.

The integrated cockpit bench in the spacious open cockpit is an enjoyable place to sit. The standard extended saloon roof offers you protection against less favourable weather or shelter from the blazing sun. The central stern door provides access to the swimming platform by means of the Linssen Centre Line Traffic.
The saloon roof is provided with integrated drainage. There are also two solar panels concealed in the saloon deck for extra power supply.

It is the largest yacht with an open cockpit that we have built since our company was founded in 1949: the Grand Sturdy 500 Sedan Variodeck. A luxury ‘traveller’ with the ideal dimensions of 15.50 x 4.65 x 1.20 m. And with a more than ideal clearance height of only 2.75 m. The Grand Sturdy 500 Sedan Variodeck® clears the (water)way for many comfortable cruises, even through the sailing mecca of France. This is the ultimate Linssen for skippers who like to think in terms of possibilities, rather than limitations.

Since 2003, the open cockpit concept has gained a permanent place in the Linssen Yachts product range. In recent years, an extensive line of sedans has been developed, from small (such as the 25.9) to large (most recently the 45.0). And now the flagship, the Grand Sturdy 500 AC Variotop, is also getting a sedan version. But didn’t that flagship already have everything you could wish for as a sailing enthusiast? That was our first challenge in developing this 500 Sedan. How do you remain faithful to the 500 AC Variotop and at the same time manage to create something new with a unique added value, but without the Variotop? But we managed to do it again.

Linssen Variotop Series

A yacht equipped with a Linssen Variotop is actually a very special combination of an inside and outside helmsman’s position and a fly-bridge. With a Variotop you are sailing ‘outdoors’ and you can combine the aft deck or open cockpit with the wheelhouse to form one big external space. If the weather gods are less well disposed towards you, just close the Variotop, and you will actually be connecting the helmsman's position to the aft cabin, creating an impressive internal space. In this way the Variotop unites the compartments and therefore the crew.

The Variotop is a folding roof that covers the wheelhouse so that it is completely watertight and insulated thanks to ingenious locking and sealing systems. Close the Variotop and the wheelhouse doors and the open helmsman's position is instantly transformed into a heated Variotop wheelhouse where it is a pleasure to be. On a warm summer's day, just cruising along, the boat gently rolling at anchor or leisurely moored to the quay, the Variotop – now like a fully fledged bimini top – provides wonderful cool shade.
